  • Assigned with a Task Force group for improving Sohar Refinery Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP)
    • greatly reduced the odor (stopped fines and community complaints).
    • brought the effluent quality to spec
    • reduced hydrocarbon flaring from ~ 11 TPD to ~2.5 TPD
    • controlled and monitored oily slops
  • Participated in 2013 Sohar Refinery and PP plant major maintenance turn-around
    • inspected many columns and other process equipment

    • Developed spreadsheets coupled with macros for automatically calculating Orpic operational performance
  • Quick Wins (QW) (Improvement Ideas)
    • Improved the system used in monitoring the QW performance

    • Assisted in setting the annual corporate KPIs by transforming LP model output into KPIs aligned with Solomon methodology

    • PI power user; used PI AF, Process Book and PI Vision to create real-time dashboards for OMT teams

  • Facilitated performance improvement workshops which covered three performance categories; energy, maintenance, and operating costs, to close the gaps identified in the 2020 Solomon study,
  • Delivered the 2022 Solomon Benchmarking study for three refineries and an Aromatics plant,
  • Initiated a performance gap analysis based on the study results,
  • Supported Salalah Methanol company with their 2023 Global Methanol Benchmark Study by PTAI,
  • Scoping a contract for delivering benchmark studies for OQ plastics complex LPIC,
  • Co-facilitated a company-wide transformation program of OQ RPI which aims at reaching a breakeven by 2024,
  • Developed performance monitoring dashboards in Power BI
  • Developed a fully automated, user-friendly tool for calculating and monitoring the downstream Energy Intensity Index (EII) in MS Excel
  • Work with the corporate planning team and RPI leadership members to set annual KPIs for RPI every year,
  • Implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) culture within the team
    • Done CI awareness session and planned the CI improvements together,

I supported the program in developing strategies and plans for the Business Framing and Business Development departments. I also helped the Performance Management department in establishing systems for data analysis and program performance monitoring.
